Democratic lawmakers Louise Slaughter (NY) and John Conyers (MI) file a Freedom of Information Act to check into the credentials of fake reporter "Jeff Gannon." Homeland Security is unable to find credentialing paperwork at this time. According to Raw Story, Rep. Slaughter is gratified that the Homeland Security is looking into the fake reporters' background, but disconcerted by Bush's attempts to stonewall the Gannon issue.
