You should be shaking with rage. If you aren’t you have a serious problem. One cannot “mis” underestimate the cold, calculating cruelty of Bush when he can flit off to his ranch, at taxpayer expense, thank you very much, while at least 7 of our soldiers were killed today in Iraq. Most presidents with a bare scrap of principle, loyalty, patriotism and honor would never leave the White House during war time, except for work related travel. The majority of past Presidents would be seriously and personally impacted by the extraordinary hardship war is to the people of our country, mostly those who serve and their families. The President of the United States is, after all, the go to guy who has the power to declare war on another nation. Should he not at least PRETEND to care?
Vacationing at a time like this should be unthinkable. To add insult to injury, our "president" appoints the mad and raving Bolton without Senate approval before dashing off. Even some of the GOP don't approve of this stunt.
This “ war president” as he proudly calls himself, has probably logged more vacation time than any President to date in the U.S. If there are any college students out there who may view this site and have some free time before classes start in the fall, please do a search for presidential vacations and send your findings to me.
OH! I forgot, the GOP is going to spin the “WAR” in Iraq to a mere “STRUGGLE.” A struggle indeed you pathetically mendacious, immoral, un-American and pitiless creatures. You are utterly reprehensible and profoundly abusive.
On to the news at hand, that isn't about the Air France flight that crashed in Toronto due to weather and thank God, miraculously, there are no causalities but the MSM can’t stop talking about this as if nothing else is going on in the world. I think MSM news is becoming a contrived nightly action movie.

Various ethics groups are frustrated because nothing is happening with regard to Tom DeLay's questionable ethics practices. News in this area seems to be dropping off the planet, much to the delight and relief of DeLay, I would imagine.
Various ethics groups are beginning to blame the Democrats for their lack of action in pursuing the numerous DeLay ethics scandals. I have to admit that I am frustrated as well. Why is our party taking a "wait and see" approach? When will they learn that they must to go after the likes of DeLay with an unrelenting sledge hammer to drive the bully into a corner from which he cannot retreat? The Texas GOP is all about slash, bash, trash and burn the opponent. Get a grip Dems! You gotta do to DeLay what Starr did to Clinton. LS
