I am back after a wonderful vacation in beautiful and blue California (except for a brief stint in the Republican outpost of Orange County). I have to admit I grew rather tired of explaining to family and friends there alike the simple reality of being a Texan in the Bush political and daily real world of hurt. In other words, all Texans are not Bush supporters and neocon nut jobs. Au contraire, I would decry defensively, many Texans feel the same way about Bush as you do. Next time I visit California, or anywhere for that matter, I will wear a T shirt or evening blouse, when the occasion requires, with TEXAN AGAINST BUSH smeared across both front and back in bold black or red. And/or I will sport a bumper sticker TEXAN WHO KNOWS BUSH IS ANTI-AMERICAN.
To our credit, many Texans are a fighting a hard and uphill battle, in a DeLay driven illegally gerrymandered state, to oust a couple of Republicans “lawmakers,” here, namely Tom Sewer Rat DeLay and Senator Kay Bush Rubber Stamping Bailey Hutchison (aka the Breck shampoo woman). We are doing what it takes so please cut us some slack por favor. Those of you who hold us all in statewide contempt could very kindly send candidates like Barbara Ann Radnofsky a donation or two, if you’d really like to help free us from the Rovian/DeLay will to kill the Democrat Party. Rove, after all, could creep into your state too, entirely unbeknownst to yourselves.
Moving along.......
I see upon my return that the so-called MSM has been hot on the trail of the Abramoff scandal. At a southern California airport yesterday I went to the Newsstand to check the local and national newspapers. All splashed the Abramoff sizzle on the front page, including a little conservative and light weight local newspaper.
However, as usual, there's a lot more out there that the so-called MSM is not covering. According to the Daily Kos, the mainstream media is now the Internet and blogosphere. The former MSM is now the "traditional media." I couldn't agree more.
Now, on to the news not covered by our traditional media.
