GOP HYPOCROOKS

I've been doing a bit of opposition research lately and I have discovered a few fetching and interesting facts about one of our U.S Senators here in Texas. For starters, Kay Bailey Hutchison received more donations from Enron (aka SLIMEron) than any other Senator, up until when the company declared bankruptcy. Mrs. Hutchison received a cool $99,500. Second on the list was Phil Gramm whose wife was on the AUDIT board of Enron. Does something seem amiss here? I guess not, for, Kay, Phil and his wife are all doing quite wealthily well, as is Kenny Boy and Jeff Scum Skilling while hundreds of Enron employees lost jobs, retirement funds and some even lost their homes. I hope there is a very toasty and uncomfortable hole in hell for the likes of the GOP hypocrooks AND Democrats should they fall into the same category of slime. Oh well, I suppose we constitutents must learn to eat cake on a daily basis with this GOP crew in power.

Another interesting tidbit is Senator Hutchison's husband is a partner in a law firm (Vinson and Elkins) which donates to Senator Hutchison. Ummmm.....

Here in Texas we seem to have our fair share of hypocrooks. Tom DeLay's attorney demanded that a local TV station shut down an ad that is critical of the former exterminator. And you know what? The cowardly TV station, Houston's Channel 13, caved in. That channel just bit the dust in my house.

DELAY FORCES TV STATION TO WITHDRAW AD

Maybe DeLay's attorneys ought to quit the case because many of us are getting as disgusted by them as we are DeLay.

From the Houston Chronicle

COWARDLY TV STATION CAVES INTO DELAY'S DEMAND

DELAY MIGHT HAVE TO FIGHT FOR HIS POLITICAL LIFE

According to a piece found on Raw Story.com which previewed a piece in the New York Times' Thursday edition, DeLay's illegal gerrymandering of the state is the prime reason for his growing unpopularity. Are people here finally waking up to the consequences of the utterly evil redistricting?

TEXAS IS FED UP WITH DELAY?

ABRAMOFF SCANDAL IS A GOP ONE

And this is according to the NATIONAL REVIEW (!?)

Ken sent this piece today.

That's right - the right wing house magazine, founded by William Buckley, heads for the lifeboats, debunking the desperate GOP claim that the Abramoff corruption is bi-partisan.

And Bush remains out at the prow of the ship yelling "I'm the king of the world!!!" -K
