ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I read somewhere this evening that Bush had hoped to deflect attention from Treason Gate and Libby's indictment to a political battle with Democrats over Alito's nomination. Someone - sorry - reading too much too quickly tonight to cite the source - suggested that Reid took drastic action in demanding a closed session in the Senate today to counter Bush's scheme. (It doesn't matter what the source is anyway. After five years of fake news and lies some of us can afford to be a tad sloppy. ) Back to deflection...the bird flu was a hot W. topic today wasn't it? Are you terrified? Ready to die a terrible death?

We know that Senate Democrats demanded a closed session in the Senate today, a rarely invoked procedure, to insist upon a discussion on the manipulation of intelligence on Iraq and the cover-up trial that led to Scooter Libby's indictment. Thank you, Harry Reid, for having the guts to pull it off. Of course Actor Bill Frist, another GOP crook and hypocrite is screaming with outrage, as are other Senate whores of Cheney, calling the move a political stunt...but oh well....Some of us (i.e. Reid) call it as we see it, dudes. Reid is a plain spoken person as W. claims to be, but unlike W. (who is not plain spoken but is rather reciting lines in simple language); Reid is a man of intelligence, quiet but forceful honesty and uprightness, rare qualities found in the world of Bush. I am beginning to think Reid is a match for Rove's so called political genius, but I would never insult Reid by putting him in the same category of humans as dirty trickster Rove. Reid has principles. Rove is all about political gain and manipulation. Nothing more, nothing less.

Naturally the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Pat Republican Cheney Loyalist and Hired Hit Man Roberts of Kansas, has not only dragged his feet in conducting an investigation into the pre-war intelligence, but, according to Raw Story, he has blocked questions on Niger, the forgeries and on WMD. Worse, Roberts himself is said to have fixed the intelligence and shifted the blame away from the White House to the CIA, the Democrats, Wilson and next, probably Fitzgerald. A pure Cheney hit man, all right. Live by the sword, dudes, die by the sword. LS
